Activities & Projects
At Boise 'Bot Comp 2011, we'll be experimenting with a few new and fun acitivities that we are sure will prove to be a blast for kids of all ages.
Bristlebots
Many people consider making robots to be a creative enterprise, and many others harness the work as an art in itself, but have you ever thought that robots can make art? It's true, and even at their simplest level, tiny creatures such as bristlebots can prove to be wonderful at creating their own masterpieces! Be prepared to get hands on and make a bot that can paint until its batteries run dry.
This year we'll have everything you need on hand to be able to make and paint with a bristlebot, even kits that you can take home if you think the fun is not done.
Make a SPURTbot!
Titled as School Project Using Robotic Technology, the SPURTbot is a perfect starter project for the budding inventor. This little guy is made from a popsicle stick and a couple motors. With minimal soldering and lots of hot glue, you'll be chasing it around in no time as it tracks dark lines in well lit rooms.
